Are you like the chameleon?

You change to blend with your surroundings and people.

You do this to protect yourself; it is very tactical and enables you to survive in any hostile business or personal environment.

It is an excellent short term strategy. But sooner or later, you run into difficulties losing the sense of who you are. The colours you display are just camouflaging your true self to make you blend in and be invisible.

Remember, your soul is the essence and who you are, which can not be changed or altered. It is the silent observer, and the one you camouflage is your personality/ego.

So why are we trying to blend in and display those beautiful colours?

You desire to be loved; you want to fit in.

As a reformed chameleon, I know how it feels. It is hard to show up for who we are; you are different, you had your fair share of judgment and rejection, and it has become the norm. You hide.

So, for years, I lived in the image of someone else's (probably like you). I thought the answers were out there; I adapted to conform, flexibility and changeability became my default settings and my identity.

In the meantime, while I was busy chasing and living in my head, my soul suffered because it couldn't express itself. I constantly over adapted and changed; I prevented my evolution and growth but for what.

Adaptable or not?

Yes, I thought I was so good at being adaptable but realised that it was a curse. I had lost me. I broke this cycle, and you, too, can do it. It is not easy, but so worth it.

Your light is bright. Let it shine. You deserve it, and you are worthy.

If you are a chameleon and want to break the cycle.

Together we can learn when to change and not to change.

It's had been a challenging few months. The pandemic compounded the effect of feeling lost and no where to turn, which made me reflect deeply.

A question that hunted me for months.

Am I  fit for Purpose?

I kept repeating it to myself, and doubts were creeping in.

Was I fit?

I was confused. The pandemic made me conscious of VUCA (volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous) and its impact on me and also people around me; adaptability and flexibility were not enough. The world had changed dramatically, but I could not respond the development; I felt powerless.

This question reverberated inside me.

Are you fit for Purpose?

What is VUCA?

In this new world of VUCA, you require new skills to navigate constant change. You have to become more resilient:- Mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and physically to thrive.

Everything that you put in place worked for a while. You spent months figuring out your audience, your message only to discover that your efforts result in nothing.

But giving up is not in your make-up; You persist, built up resilience, and it is hard work.

You hit another wall, and you keep pushing, and the results are pretty much the same. Nothing seems to work. You become resentful, angry and your energy levels are depleted..

You ask yourself. Like I did.

Am I fit for Purpose?

What is it that is not aligned with me?

Is my Purpose redundant?

And like the hamster on the wheel, you go round and round, leading to more confusion and doubt.

And over the years, a lesson that I had learnt is that everything starts from within.

Oh no not again...

Going back to basics was a hard pill to swallow.

You let go of funnels, webinars, marketing messaging, etc., and let things emerge independently.

I spent months rekindling my inner fire and be comfortable with whom I was becoming.

This was when I decided to take on the clothes of the "Fool", and if you are familiar with the archetype, it is the divine child expressing themself through continuous change.

The journey was hard at times but nonetheless fascinating.

As I suspended all my self-beliefs and banished the word "I know" from my daily vocabulary (my ego was kicking and screaming)

He was saying, But I know all this, yeah, but...Why?; it felt like my soul was liberated, and the alignment between heart and mind was taking place. It was magical.

The lessons of retreating to better equip yourself for what is to come is enriching on all levels, and it feels liberating and freeing.

When you believe in yourself and take some small steps to reconnect to who you are. You become alive and curious.

Be the fool and move forward.

I'll guide you.

I'm proud to share with you, The Fit for Purpose Programme.
